As the ship falls to the ground, Flattie becomes trapped under one of the halves. So, Mike and Co. find refuge with two other marooned people, FLATHAT and SINGIN'. They reveal that they had been hit out of space as well by asteroids and they suspect that the Flatener (Flathat's nemesis) had something to do with it.
Flathat agrees to help save Flattie, since he is the only one small enough to save her. However, while the other are waiting, the vicious RABGOZ, destroyer of worlds (and pawn used in the destruction of the original Torchia), comes and captures Mike, Seth, Elise, and Singin'.
