Production Blog: Lotsa Flash

Okay, this Blogpost is a whopper!

Hey guys, this is M-Log, and I just want to say sorry for not updating the blog in recent days. I decided to push back blog posts until I finished Act 5, which I have! So, without further ado, here is commentary on all of the recent Flash updates!

1). [S] Michael: Arrive
I got the idea for this from a couple of sources. First, the Professor Layton games. Those games are so much fun, and I'm hoping that later on in the story I can incorporate puzzles into some of the Flashes. I also got inspiration from some of the Homestuck walkaround games.
There are a lot of hidden links throughout the Flash, so be sure to find all of them! The main links that are crucial to the plot are: (1) the hieroglyphics in the first hallway, (2) the door in the second hallway before the curtains, and (3) the second set of hieroglyphics in the hallway. Other than that, there are at least 4 other things that you can click on (that I can think of at the moment), and that is aside from the arrows going from room to room.
Also, if you're really keen, you'll be able to solve the mysteries behind a couple of things. I'll only tell you about one of them. Try clicking on the fire in the curtain room.
All of the music in this video came from SidewalkBanana, main musician for the site. I'm pretty proud of the Ambient Music used!
2). All of the [S] ==>'s
All of these mini-Flashes used extra sound-effects for bugs that Sidewalk gave to me. These Flash updates introduce the Dragnits, smaller, bug-like Shadow Dragons. They're pretty awesome, and I can't wait to introduce them even more.
3.) [S] Lapse
And so, we come full circle back to the End of Act 5 video! Lapse just pretty much shows how the Shadow Dragon got from Dulcis to Torchia to Atlania (Captain Goggles's homeworld). What do you think? You can watch the full video (both parts combined) by right-clicking at the (very) end of [S] Lapse on a link at the bottom of the screen and selecting "Open in New Window". Or at least, that's what you have to do in Google Chrome. I don't know about anything else.
I was able to make [S] Lapse in a couple of hours last night, and I'm pretty proud of it. Watching the entire video is even better than watching [S] Relapse.
Once again, the music comes from Sidewalk. You'll be able to hear that song, and some more on an upcoming album slated for a release sometime in the next two weeks!
Anyway, that's all for now! Act 6 will start tomorrow, so get ready! There's a hint at what will start out the Act somewhere in [S] Lapse. I'm also looking at delving deeper into the backstories of some of the newer characters. I think you'll also find a couple hints in the same video as well.

Well, this is M-Log signing off!
